WEBVTT

00:00.260 --> 00:02.240
This week’s number: 50.

00:02.300 --> 00:05.900
That’s about how many people run a data center once it’s built.

00:05.960 --> 00:08.480
Not 800. Fifty.

00:08.540 --> 00:11.320
Virginia’s own state auditors counted.

00:11.380 --> 00:17.340
So if a developer promises your town hundreds with nothing signed, walk away.

00:17.400 --> 00:20.440
But here’s the other number: 1,500.

00:20.500 --> 00:25.310
Construction trades, on one site, for a year and a half.

00:25.380 --> 00:26.720
Both numbers are real,

00:26.780 --> 00:30.400
and a town that knows both can write a deal on the truth.

00:30.460 --> 00:33.300
Jobs in writing, or no vote.

00:33.360 --> 00:36.140
Don’t take our word for it. Check.

00:36.200 --> 00:38.870
Build it right, or don’t build it.
